У статті розглядаються військові заходи, проведені Септімієм Севером після приходу до влади. Зʼясовано причини британської експедиції римського імператора, а також проаналізовано можливі завдання, які ставив перед собою Септімій Север. Виявлено можливі маршрути та опорні пункти римської армії під час військових походів. Наголошено, що в основі висвітлення кампанії лежать дані археологічних досліджень, що доповнюються даними писемних джерел. Охарактеризовано наслідки кампанії Септімія Севера.
